@FlowersSunRain_ I'd caution you that how much Placide sucks isn't really a reflection on the VDB as a whole
But yes, they do also just suck in general lol

Using CBT/DBT thinking!
I wanted to make these because I see a lot of friends/mutuals struggle with negative thoughts and I thought these would be good reminders and inspiration for everyone o7. (I don’t have a Psych degree).
In laymans terms,
Titanium implants are strong and the body accepts them, but they’re way too stiff
because the metal takes almost all the pressure, the real bone next to it gets lazy and starts to weaken over time (like a muscle that doesn’t get used).
This was the issue with earlier titanium implants and joint replacements
the new implant though are made from a special zinc alloy shaped like a lightweight, sponge-like lattice
it is flexible and almost like real bone, so it shares the load properly and doesn’t cause that weakening problem
Whats REALLY fucking cool is that its also designed to dissolve over time
So its a temporary implant, and as it dissolves, it releases minerals and ions that actually promote your new, healthy bone in its place
When the job is done, the implant is mostly gone and your own bone has taken over and is the proper strength
-medical engineering is a marvel
Whoever made this actually understands that 90% of the setups in Tom and Jerry start because Tom does something like to fuck with Jerry and acts real coy about it.
In the off chance anyone is still confused by this
Turn it into a word problem. Instead of "two times two," think "two, two times." That's four.
One, one time, is just one. Two, one time, is still two.
I hope you learn to trust the math a bit more now 👍
been staring at this for awhile bc wdym 1 multiplied by 1 isn’t 2. Like that doesn’t make sense; I have a donut and I multiply that donut by another donut: now I have 2 donuts.
Ah yes, the Oblivion problem. Also known as ludonarrative dissonance.
An entire open world to explore and experience! Ah, but you only have three weeks to live. Except not really, but kinda. YOU'RE GOING TO DIE (at some point [sort of]).
/ cyberpunk 2077's biggest issue is a disconnect. you unlock certain gigs / jobs at either street cred levels or throughout the story, but the game acts like you don't have time for any of that. phantom liberty feels like something that should be in act 3, the literal last resort
@tutorialhead@HappyMantShrimp That's literally the entire point of the argument. The OP is saying "she isn't a CARICATURE," aka stylized and unrealistic
This person isn't being pedantic, you're just arguing purely on vibes
@wtflanksteak@KaoCrown Yeah, it's orange and black. I think the "purple and orange" thing is just a stylistic choice for clothing or artwork, but it's a twist on the original, not an original in and of itself
@bigseb31213 I mean, even thirty years ago, Western attitudes toward our national heroes were a lot like this, we just all got burned out by constant, global discourse and don't really care anymore lol
@crotien@gncgalactus "We'll never see anything like it again" and "it" is simply one of the most economic and sensible decisions a dev team for a sci fi game can make lol
I guarantee you, we'll see it again. It's not exactly difficult to think up.
