"Yo bebía Coca-Cola Zero, ahora tomo Coca-Cola normal,
Y es que ya sé, que cómo lo haga da igual, las cosas salen bien o mal,
Y no lo puedes controlar." ❤️🩹
"Dammit" is from Blink-182's 1997 album Dude Ranch. The fast-paced pop-punk anthem became the band's breakthrough hit, reaching #11 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and helping define the late '90s pop-punk explosion.
Written by Mark Hoppus after a breakup with his girlfriend, the song perfectly captures the awkwardness of young adulthood. Its original title was "Dammit (Growing Up)", but the subtitle was later dropped, and the catchy line "Well, I guess this is growing up" became one of Blink-182's most iconic lyrics.
@mrpyo1 FIFA, 2K, CoD and GTA are gonna sell regardless because of all the casual gamers. When their first party titles start to come short of those expected sells, that's when Sony will think twice about removing discs.
@mrpyo1 I think where we can make our loudest stand is whenever PS6 comes out and it underperforms, as well as not buying Sony's first party titles whenever they become digital-only.
This is so well said. 😂
Maybe Sony doesn't realize that:
1. Most of us have a backlog bigger than our life expectancy
2. The jump from PS5 to PS6 is going to feel a lot smaller than previous generations (law of diminishing returns at this point)
3. If they want us to stay engaged, maybe... I don't know... give us games? Good games that don't take 7+ years to make. And maybe bring back some of the creativity and variety that made the PS1–PS3 eras so special.
Sony needs us more than we need them.
They created so much value over the last 30 years that plenty of us have enough incredible games to play for decades. If the future is "$1,000+ digital-only console, fewer games, longer waits, and less ownership," that's not exactly a compelling value proposition.
GG, Sony. Thanks for the memories. 🤣
@ashgitt@IGN That's what I'm saying. I'm sure a great percentage of those digital sales come from casuals who buy 2K and FIFA every year. They're going to lose the core fanbase that buys every PlayStation first party title.
