I feel like the younger generations have a problem putting things in their proper historical and political context. You can’t view 70s sexual awakening & LGBTQ+ movement through a 2020s lens. Everything that makes it “today’s problematic” makes it yesterday’s groundbreaking
@nanomysou@smthngvelveteen yeahhh we also created about 25-50 pounds of latex and mylar trash a week from popped balloons 😭 it was honestly really hard to stomach
@PunishedAG like at what age do they think it's acceptable to even learn about the concept of gay marriage? do they expect kids to just never fucking learn that it's legal or exists or anything? they just want us wiped off the fucking planet so they don't have to think about us
@StrangeIsLive@OGnmcommie u are NEVER going to get the average person to read all that theory lol, i do think it's important but to truly organize the masses there needs to be a bit lower bar of entry imo
@Neon_Blu_Moose_@OGnmcommie@Markrerismrzm look into labor organizing groups, or peoples committes, or there may be a student union at a nearby college that could connect you with an org 👍
@nanomysou@smthngvelveteen I used to work at a balloon company that did a lot of business and honestly the amount of helium we used was INSANE. big corporate events would get like 40 clusters of 8-12 helium balloons, we'd pick up the next day and pop them :\
hello, i’m a democratic congressman/woman. i know it costs $50 to fill your gas tank with the cheap gas, you have to pull out your credit card to keep food on the table, and you can barely afford housing. that’s why i’m online today posting lies about hasan piker.
@Yumreesespieces@seeerrge my mom lives in torrance and my brothers live in redondo beach so thats the area ive been looking into 😭 honestly I'd rather deal with the climate hell in California than deal with the climate hell in Ohio + rapidly progressing transphobic policy here
