@NinkyMama@ella_camo 🔥🔥 Love this analogy. Feeling like you work so hard or you are so close to not being or feeling close at all.. Terrible hamster wheel feeling. Better to go where you can progress
The cost of proper EDD looks expensive until you compare it with a bad counterparty, a frozen transaction, a reputation issue or a partner who never had the capacity they claimed. Diligence is cheaper before signature.
A site visit is not a photo opportunity. It should test whether the operating reality matches the investment memo: staff, stock, customers, equipment, activity, local recognition and evidence that the business is real.
One boardroom red flag: everyone agrees too quickly. In real businesses, numbers get challenged and roles are clear. When every answer sounds rehearsed, I start checking who is really in control.
No shots on goal for two hours after the fifth minute, averaged about two passes a minute, one of the most shameful cowardly performances ever seen in a Champions League final. Played for penalties and got what they deserved.
A UAE free zone certificate tells you an entity exists. It does not tell you who funds it, what substance it has, how money moves through it, or whether Africa-linked exposure sits behind the structure.
A database report can confirm a company exists. It cannot tell you whether the business is actually operating, whether suppliers trust it, or whether the founder has overstated scale. In East Africa, that gap is where diligence starts.
Desktop due diligence tells you what a company says about itself. Ground truth tells you whether the market agrees. In frontier markets, the gap between those two is where most risk lives.
@NumbuhJay@aChildOf2Worlds I do admire your belief maybe i am to pessimistic but i now am of the belief i am a just a visitor here ( i was born and raised in the UK also lol) but would say that is still possible but dont fear looking abroad, so much opportunity outside of the western world and money!
@natnyetla@NumbuhJay@aChildOf2Worlds @natnyelta thats why il never understand non american black who disrespect black americans. Kinda like africans in uk who disrespect carribeans. Aa and carribeans walked so most of us could run. Aa are incredible supporters and open doors. Black brits bit too conservative
@NumbuhJay@aChildOf2Worlds We can count on our hands how many black creatives have broken through and what they need to sacrifice morally just to remain (e.g stormzy and the infamous mcdz ad) at some point you gotta realise your envionment isnt going to improve and your talent is best suited elsewhere
