A FIFA World Cup host country must guarantee two fundamental principles: the safety of the country — and the unrestricted entry of all qualified teams, officials and referees. The case of referee Omar Artan from Somalia is against one of these obligations. FIFA must never compromise the universality of football. #Fifa #Somalia #GianniInfantino #CAF #OmarAtan #DonaldTrump

We humbly reach out to you with a heartfelt appeal for support.

UGANDA TOURISM
The last 6yrs have been hardest year for me in my tourism life and yes, we have had covid, Ebola but management of information has failed us!
Tourism had also attracted many young educated Ugandans and they were starting to see results, I mentor some so I know and more were coming board.
I don’t know about those that indirectly benefit from tourism who are so many and many of them don’t even know they do by the way.
It’s not about disease outbreaks, it’s just been how information has been handled, if you follow me, you can see the efforts i invest in and yes, many others do!
After 6yrs, this year the few accommodations have gone up to about 70% and within 2 days of announcement, we had moved from 70% to 30% and kept reducing.
Uganda already has very few accommodations but even the few, owners are struggling with loans and all sorts of bills across board.
Nothing has killed the entrepreneurs spirit especially in tourism like information handling by the ministry of health. And it’s more about how information is put out there!
No country succeeds with a dampened spirit of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs make the economy and everything rotates around how the economy functions.
Me who knows about regional business and also understand our potential as a people and a country sometimes, it’s hard very hard.
Because of 2 planting seasons we casually say, oh we shall get over it. What keeps us backwards are things we can handle better according to me.
If don’t travel, you will never get to see even in our neighborhood how much business those guys do and you know what, they aren’t any better than us!
I interact with them, I can tell they aren’t any better than us. Many tell me, Amos you are operating in a small environment, you can do better elsewhere.
Then you ask yourself, who else will improve Uganda if am not one of them?
This is the @GongodyoSidney I knew.
Not the headlines. Not the tragedy. Not the anger that has consumed all of us since 5th June. This, This man. Laughing. Living. Just being himself.
If you had sat with him the way I did. If you had heard that laugh. If you had seen how gently he moved through this world despite the size of him. If you knew how softly he spoke, how easily he smiled, how little he asked for and how much he gave…
They took him from me. They took him from all of us. And I do not think they had any idea who they were taking!!
Rest easy my brother. These memories are all I have left of the ordinary days and I will treasure every single one. ❤️

Minister of Works and Transport Fred Byamukama has set a March 2027 deadline for the completion of the Mityana–Mubende Road, warning Serbian contractor EnergoProjekt that the contract could be terminated if progress does not improve. The minister made the ultimatum during a site visit, underscoring zero tolerance for delays and poor workmanship.

Czech Republic and South Korea, I believe you understand the assignment. Two more matches, with the entire Africa behind you, and South Africa will be on the first flight out of North America to protect their jobs back home. 😂
Hated the fact that he was thrown under the bus during those periods.
All the board members hid and pushed him to the front.
This is why a lot of fans turned on him.
Only one Arsene Wenger 🙏🏽❤️
“There was a time we had 90 million turnover and we had to pay back 22 million per year for the stadium, I couldn’t sleep because we had to qualify for the champions league to pay back the money. We had to sell our best players. Other clubs came in with lots of money but we were on the same level from 2007 to 2016”
