I found a guy who goes around the US asking 70 to 100-year-olds their:
• Biggest Regrets
• Biggest Lessons
• Advice to their younger self
Oddly enough, most of their answers are the same…
Here are my top 8:
✨🆕 New project! ✨
For educational purposes only…
I HACKED A CAR IN JAVASCRIPT!!! 📡🛻
I built a web tool to hack wireless devices right from the browser and I used it to run a rolljam/replay attack against my friend's car (with consent of course) and IT WORKED!!! 😃🎉
if you guys remember, Cloudflare moved away from NGINX to build their own proxy named Pingora. Made a video on the topic a year ago. https://t.co/sd1iKm0qTS
Today Cloudflare just opened source Pingora.

Software design principles guide developers in creating efficient, scalable, and maintainable software. Here's a list of some of the most essential software design principles:
𝟭. 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁-𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗢𝗢𝗣) 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀
Includes: Encapsulation, Abstraction, Inheritance, and Polymorphism.
𝟮. 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 - design principles guide developers in creating maintainable, scalable, and efficient object-oriented software systems.
🔹 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 (SRP): A class should have only one reason to change, meaning it should have only one job or responsibility.
🔹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻/𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 (OCP): Software entities (classes, modules, functions, etc.) should be open for extension but closed for modification. This means you can add new functionality without changing the existing code.
🔹 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗼𝘃 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 (LSP): Subtypes must be substitutable for their base types. This means that objects of the parent class should be replaceable with objects of the child class without affecting the correctness of the program.
🔹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 (ISP): Clients should not be forced to depend on interfaces they do not use. This means creating specific interfaces for each class rather than having one large, all-encompassing one.
🔹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 (DIP): High-level modules should not depend on low-level modules. Both should depend on abstractions. This means that you should rely on abstractions rather than on concrete implementations.
𝟯. 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 (DRY): Avoid duplication in code, which can lead to inconsistencies and bugs. Reuse code instead of copying it.
𝟰. 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗜𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗱 (KISS): Keeping code as simple and clear as possible. Simple code is easier to understand and maintain and less prone to errors.
𝟱. 𝗬𝗔𝗚𝗡𝗜 (You Aren't Gonna Need It): Avoid adding unnecessary complexity by adding functionality only when needed.
𝟲. 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 (LoD) or Principle of Least Knowledge: An object should only communicate with its immediate friends and not know other objects' inner workings.
𝟳. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Favoring object composition over class inheritance, as it's more flexible and helps to avoid problems associated with larger inheritance hierarchies.
𝟴. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁 - suggests that a solution or approach would not surprise a reasonably knowledgeable person in the subject area when encountered for the first time

I just published new versions of the #NativePHP Electron PHP package (0.3.0) and JS plugin (0.1.3) that allow you to build your NativePHP apps on Linux too 🎉

What should the DevOps engineer roadmap look like:
𝟭. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 (Python, Go, ...) to write automation scripts
𝟮. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (Linux) and its command-line interface (CLI)
𝟯. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, web servers, including proxies such as Nginx or IIS
𝟰. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿
𝟱. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀
𝟲. 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for provisioning and configuration management
𝟳. 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀: DNS, IP addresses, ports, and the OSI model
𝟴. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻/𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗜/𝗖𝗗) 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 for automating app delivery and deployment stages
𝟵. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀 for real-time oversight of applications, services, and infrastructure
𝟭𝟬. 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 like AWS and Azure.
