ASB is proud to celebrate Pride Month! Our GSAs in MS/HS consider Pride a time for celebration, reflection, and action. Students and faculty have created meaningful opportunities to connect and deepen our understanding of LGBTQIA+ experiences worldwide. Happy Pride! 🌈
A groundbreaking collaboration between ASB, NGO Ilusions Solidaries, and neighboring adult-learning center, Asproseat, with 9th-grade biology students led by Mr. Peter Iverson and Ms. Marta Vernet embarking on a project to bridge genetics and compassion.

@c4noff Geez! We spent way too long in EWR on Sat traveling from BCN to PHL for a conf. Ended up having to take a taxi in the mid of the night bc no available seats on UA flights for 2 days & apparently no hotels avail. Had to get to a conf in time! Hope rest of your trip goes smoothly!

@DeeSTEM_Teach 👀 about all I can do is roll my eyes… talk about distraction! Sending you a cheers / high 5 / hug from afar and say “good luck!” (to you and the teachers - but also the kids trying to do their best amid terrible planning)
Help students make connections to the process of science with this new card activity, based on the three dimensions of the NGSS. Use these cards following another activity to have students identify which crosscutting concepts they engaged with. https://t.co/QY5A5Pm2jm
@RanhothChord I think I slept thru a couple parts but overall , yes, f&i watched. Final season didn’t do it for me, but felt good to “complete it” after watching it off and on for so long.
@RanhothChord Oh don’t get me started on the 100… actually I just started a similar show last week on HBO max: La Brea. So bad but mildly entertaining.
Shout out to a fellow Denison alum and August-O counselor for a quote that I connect with today, thinking about my students falling in love and feeling fulfilled with (doing) science through @ASTbigideas and others’ strategies.
An idea from Atomic Habits:
"When you fall in love with the process rather than the product, you don’t have to wait to give yourself permission to be happy. You can be satisfied anytime your system is running."

Just finished PBL training with @hthgse at #BFISBarcelona with educators from across Spain. So grateful for the movement, choice, and inclusion of students in this learning experience. I’ll definitely use the empathy listening routine & tableau activity.
@DeeSTEM_Teach @floblan4 This school year was rough, but just got back from a wonderful 3 day trip to northern Spain to walk parts of the Camino de Santiago with students, which was awesome, so feeling good now (and sore after 40+ km). HBU?
@GrahamGregson89 @NGSSphenomena Graham! I hadn’t seen this mention. Sorry! You’re welcome! I think at this point in the NGSS timeline, I think a lot of teachers are becoming inundated with NGSS resources. It’s vital now to discern which are “3-D” & fully aligned, and how to adjust those that are not.
