The Helena Huskies booked their sixth-straight trip to state with an elimination game win over Chilton County after defeating Calera and Hueytown with great pitching performances to set up the chance to reach Oxford.

The Helena Huskies are once again area champions after a pair of two-run doubles from Henley Traywick and Addison Draiss sealed a comeback win over Spain Park in the area finals.

The Helena Huskies survived a late rally from Chelsea and got the benefit of a Pelham upset over Spain Park to control their own destiny for the area tournament hosting rights as Marlee Parsons struck out 10.
