🚨 New Scam Alert: 🚨

Since sending random links no longer works, scammers have a new tactic. Now, they will follow you, message you, and claim that their friend was scammed out of $1,600. They’ll then say they reported you because your username and profile resemble the scammer’s.

What we’ve noticed is that they’ll claim your username is similar to the scammer’s, but in reality, they just add an "s" or "_" to the name of a suspended account. If you search for the account they mention, you’ll see that it’s indeed suspended—but that doesn’t mean it was ever yours.

Next, they’ll ask you to appeal and instruct you to open Discord to add a so-called “friend.” They will then give you a code to enter. Reminder: X (Twitter) support does not have a Discord and will never ask you to appeal through it. That alone should raise suspicion.

Also, if you were genuinely reported and your account is under review, X support wouldn’t send an email giving you 48 hours to talk to someone. If they’ve already validated the report, they wouldn’t be asking for further proof.

Be vigilant! These scammers are on fire again. Even if the message comes from a “friend,” trust your instincts—you know how your real friends talk. Don't trust blindly. When it comes to scams, always stay alert!
