Whatever you thought about the views of Charlie Kirk, no one deserves to be killed in this way. I have received awful messages from people asking why I won't condemn him. I watched him debating and I disagreed with almost everything he said but I felt no malice towards him. I actually watched him so much I felt like I knew him. This is the power of social media. I also get no pleasure from learning that his killer was a right wing thinker. We have to understand that this has nothing to do with actual politics. Only someone very unstable could do such a terrible thing and it is a truly terrible thing. Any celebration of it is on your soul.
