sup everyone, my name is Ivan. I'm building a voice you don't speak.
I started playing with machine learning pretty early, and turned it into a business automating stuff for local enterprises and government in 2022.
Dropped it when I turned 18 and quit uni, have been on the road since, working on functional brain-imaging instead.
Always loved metacognition, have been thinking about how to turn AI into powerful cognitive tools. Before that though, we need to make the interface to our computers intimate and practical.
I'm throwing a dinner next week with some of the sharpest people I've met during my time in SF. A few spots open, comment if interested
on that Ballmer Peak, thinking about how AI-driven science is probably just a prompted for-loop away
(and, well, automating experimentation. and making them good at holding & manipulating knowledge but there's perhaps a framework to follow that would suffice..)
make agency desirable.
resisting the urge to offload thinking, means reducing the cost to do so.
we are building a new physical interface that is both discrete and can be used anywhere.
we need people to make that happen. if you are cocky enough to call yourself exceptional and prove it, apply below
THE MAISON IS OPENING.
Today, Voyage reveals the Maison for Mind Computing.
We are designers, neuroscientists, philosophers, and engineers building neural interfaces for your inner voice, as objects of desire. Backed by Draper Associates and other believers.
Apply to be a Member of the Maison. Or join us inside — we’re hiring @maisonvyg

I love how silent-speech is still generalist territory. cost of failure is low, there's a many problems and like a thousand way to solve each. everything can and should be questioned.
none of that "we know exactly what to do, just make sure not to screw up one of 500 things"
We have a one week gig for designing a 3d-printable functional prototype, looking for someone with experience designing wearables on the head. Difficulty being strong contact and minimizing position variability across different people. $2100 paid over two-day increments. Start-date on Monday.
if you know someone, please dm me
