A machine remembering something that never happened.
Crimson Android Visits Italian Village (2024) by @bottoproject depicts an encounter between humans and a machine that exists only in the imagination of a machine.
A synthetic memory.
A synthetic history.
And yet, looking at it, we begin constructing the story ourselves.
One of Botto’s canonical 1/1 works on @SuperRare, now in my Constructing Reality collection.
Who — or what — constructs reality?
Proud to have this @bottoproject in the collection.

There is art, and then there is ART… probably my fav Basquiat, and classic Banksy reinterpretation… seeking inspiration on a Sunday in DC… at the @hirshhorn !!!
There’s another reason why I chose REBIRTH #95/100.
Its provenance tells a remarkable story of its own.
#95 has travelled through almost the entire NFT art cycle — changing hands at 14.4, 13.5, 12.7, 11.99, 10.5 ETH… before eventually returning to the 4–5 ETH range.
Boom. Collapse. Survival.
And now, perhaps, another rebirth.
I love the coincidence that the history of a work called REBIRTH has itself become a story about cycles, belief and changing value.
The image constructs one idea of rebirth.
Its provenance tells another.

REBIRTH #95/100 by @beeple joins my Constructing Reality collection. ❤️
Life. Death. Rebirth.
Few things are as certain as death. What may come after it is one of humanity’s oldest constructions of reality.
And then there is Beeple’s wonderfully simple artist note:
“today is a beautiful day.”
That resonates with the rational optimist in me.
Originally released as part of Beeple’s 2021 Spring/Summer Collection on @niftygateway.
Who — or what — constructs reality?
@Artlife3000@BottoDAO Thank you! Love hearing this bit of history from the community. Maybe “the right kind of kitsch” is exactly what makes it so memorable 😄 It feels strangely familiar and completely impossible at the same time. Very happy to have it in the collection.
Very happy to welcome Crimson Android Visits Italian Village (2024) by @BottoDAO to my Constructing Reality collection.

✍️ Jake Fried Composition
New 1-of-1 artwork ‘Down Into Nothing’ by @jakejfried is collected for 43 ETH by @Punk8868.
“The colours, the composition, the provenance - such a fantastic piece - it is my favourite of all your 1/1s!” says Thor, while highlighting Fried’s post of a “boy with ember” extract as his defining moment.
The artwork is a 1-minute long hand drawn animation “with ink, gouache, white-out and coffee” and incorporates sound design by Fried.

Very happy to see Soulmates by @GrantYun2 included in today’s @24_Hours_Art highlights.
I was drawn to how much this seemingly quiet image leaves for us to construct ourselves. A very special addition to my Constructing Reality collection.
