A video from the unveiling of the sculpture was published by the rapper's ex-wife, Eva Karitskaya. She previously claimed that the full-length monument cost 4 million rubles, with the funds donated by the streamer Mellstroy.
Pasha Technik (real name Pavel Ivlev) died on April 4, 2025, in Thailand at the age of 40. Prior to his death, he spent nine days in a coma following a drug overdose.
In April, the online streaming service Okko released a documentary about Ivlev, featuring Vladislav Davankov, the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma from the "New People" party.

Wikipedia has released its list of the most-viewed biographies in Russian of 2025.
In first place is Pasha Technik, the rapper and internet anti-hero who died last April. Second is is Vladimir Putin. Then comes the late film director Tigran Keosyan, US leader Donald Trump and prominent censorship activist Yekaterina Mizulina.
Alexander Pushkin, the foundational figure of Russian literature, comes in at 10. Ahead of him are serial killer 'Rostov Ripper' Andrei Chikatilo, hockey legend Alexander Ovechkin, actor Yury Borisov and actress Yevgeniya Dobrovolskaya, who also died last year.
Stalin is 13th and the only political opposition figure anywhere in the top 200 is the late Alexey Navalny at 160.
