I think the absolute scariest thing about President Trump is that he's either right/wins, or the other side cheated/hates America/etc.
It's exactly how you turn yourself into an idol.
Now where have I been warned about idols before? π€
"Smart people don't like me, you know?"
-President Trump
It's one of my favorite quotes, not because of what it says, but because of what it implies in reverse.
The only person I'm aware of that is totally without blame or need of criticism was killed about two thousand years ago.
If you cannot critique your president/politician, think about what you're implying.
To quote Incubus:
"You're no Jesus, you're no f@#β¬ing Elvis"
As a person who has never watched soccer but has attempted to do so during FIFA, let me break it down:
60% watching people run around
35% people flopping in fake pain
5% exciting moments
And don't get this confused. I freaking love my country. I love the fact that I can criticize it. When you can't criticize something without being villianized, it's no longer love. It's something far more dangerous.
I love my country. I love it's people. I hate it's leaders.
Also, I've recently read criticism of science.
Do scientists get stuff wrong? All the time. Here's the difference though. Science LOVES to prove itself wrong. If will ADMIT it is wrong. Because we all make mistakes.
Something American leadership knows absolutely nothing about.
Here's the deal. Do I care about the UFC/White House? Not really.
Know what I do care about? Lying.
If you don't think he's lied to you, then is anything I'm going to say going to change your mind? Unlikely.
I can provide a list though. It's enormous. Lies and double standards
Proposed new law that "makes it harder to vote"
Ok, so I take a look and here's what I learned
1) Military ID? Not enough. You can die for your country, but it's not enough to vote
2) Women who change their names after marriage? Would have to pay to get an updated certificate
