On June 21st, we recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a day to honour the traditions, cultures, history and achievements of Métis, First Nations and Inuit peoples.
We honour the resilience of those individuals and families forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution or natural disasters and we recognize their courage as they rebuild their lives.
Today, June 20th, is #WorldRefugeeDay. IWC stands in solidarity with all refugees and their right to protection, safety and dignity. A record 123.2 million people have been forcibly displaced globally, according to the UNHCR.
