You won’t understand what I mean now, but someday you will: the only trick of friendship, I think, is to find people who are better than you are
—not smarter, not cooler, but kinder, and more generous, and more forgiving—and then to appreciate them for what they can teach you, and to try to listen to them when they tell you something about yourself, no matter how bad—or good—it might be, and to trust them, which is the hardest thing of all. But the best, as well.
The young men and women President Ruto keeps castigating over 'indiscipline' are technically children and Grand children of Faarah Maalim. President @WilliamsRuto should never allow such talk by leaders, let alone in his presence. He has to walk the talk. Respect is earned.
This is a statement coming from a lawyer no less, it is somewhat hilarious and at the same time pathetic. The Constitution he swore an oath to protect provides the right to FREE speech yet here such a despot who fears memes. This is the same man who came to power by making a career out of hating the government and now, when he runs the place, free speech is something to be punished. Hypocrisy much? Rather than attempt to patrol the many platforms of the internet, which will happily roast him regardless, he should probably focus on the infrastructure disaster that is under his portfolio. The weaknesses of a person are sure revealed whenever he or she assumes a position of authority.
@ryanmatta I can’t be sure at what I’m observing in this clip - but I also just came across this - which also seems interesting.
If true - my first thought is who is next?
This coming from a leader @FarahMaalimM Days after President @WilliamsRuto asked for respect from the youth and asked parents to guide their children. How, when this is what comes out of leaders? In the presence of the very same President? Hapana buana.
