@theames I haven’t been on Twitter for forever but came here immediately to figure out how the fuck we’re burning shit down after that absolutely shameful award.
Was disappointed to see this in a piece defending Meghan Markle. This is body policing and reinforces fatphobia. Can we stop criticizing people’s weight already? @AbcarianLAT@latimes
I was so bothered by the #HouseoftheDragon premiere that I wrote this in a frenzy on Monday morning. As my friend Lauren put it, “Women remain so incredibly and astoundingly unconsidered.”

Such a rich white male take… “how can we monetize pregnancy?” Yes, there’s a lot of work to be done in maternal healthcare, but providing a concierge service to teach wealthy people how to “optimize” pregnancy is not where it’s needed.
Can somebody please steal this business idea from me and let me invest?
Every three months I wonder:
“Why hasn’t anyone done this yet?!”
Here's the idea...
You know what actually needs funding? Programs to get low-income people better prenatal care. Allowing pregnant people to take sufficient time off from work during and after pregnancy. And making family planning/abortion available for EVERYONE so birth can be a planned choice.
Also, putting the blame/onus for congential problems on maternal nutrition and behavior is so fucked up, especially since so much of it is out of our control. Pregnant people’s actions are already so policed, we already analyze every behavior for it’s possible effects on the baby
@HutchisonPeter I loved this piece but noticed you used a few photos of @TinaDuryea’s art without attribution. Can you please correct this mistake? She deserves credit for sharing her artwork for free. https://t.co/RXWMEVlcEW
Knitting is an excellent stress-reliever, but it’s easy to get intimidated if you’ve never tried it. @iwriteplays offers some pro tips on how to get started.
