I've been kinda trying to think about how to word this for a while without coming across as dismissive.

I think blaming the IRIAM community as a whole for bad actors isn't necessarily productive. I talked to my partner about this, told her what was going on with it, etc.

This is what she told me verbatim:

"Every platform is going to have bad actors who do bad things because the internet gives bad people an amplified voice under anonymity. Red and Purple sites also have this problem. Creators will receive hate for their opinions and the best thing to do is to keep going and not give it any attention."

I started content creation 15 years ago. I remember when Red site used the star system, you could only upload videos that were 5 minutes long, 10 if you got a special privilege, and social media wasn't really necessary to your growth. So people wouldn't know your opinions or personal feelings unless you expressed them in your videos.

Nowadays, we live in an age where pretty much all of our information and opinions are on the internet for all to see.

Some people disagree and some people disagree to the point of being rabid. This is actually covered in @EyePatchWolf 's video on the subject.

For every 10 people who like you, theres going to be one that hates you, and as you grow, that number gets bigger.

The best thing to do is to keep going.
