Trump is of course a liar about using Venezuelan heavy crude oil to refill the SPR.

The SPR has strict quality requirements such as a maximum of 1.99% sulfur content. Venezuelan oil is 5.7% sulfur, which is considered insanely "sour." It also happens to be highly acidic which would eat away at the storage cave walls, likely causing cave-ins and collapse.

There are other requirements, too, such as API gravity. Venezuelan oil doesn't qualify. If you pour it in, you can never get it back out. Too sludgy. It basically just becomes a giant "tar cave" of sludge that's unpumpable.

So once again, Trump is lying about the whole thing. There's much more to this story, too, such as the fact that the 65 billion barrels of oil can't possibly be tapped without at least A FULL DECADE of infrastructure investment in Venezuela, and at least $100 billion in investment funds, plus you have to find all the experts around the world who know how to do these things and somehow entice them to move to what is effectively a war zone where local resistance groups will be targeting them constantly.

So nope, your gas prices aren't going to get any better tomorrow. It's all just smoke and mirrors. As usual.

President Trump’s messaging around data centers is concerning to me, not just because I voted no on a data center bill, but because some of us WANT our rural communities to stay rural.

Rural doesn’t mean “backwards and poor” and development doesn’t always equate to being “successful and rich.”

President Trump wouldn’t be president without the rural voters who inhabit America’s heartland. It is not wrong of us to question the sudden and wide-scale effort to convert arable land into data centers.

We are not stupid for wanting to protect our rural way of life.

Also, the United States has ~5,400 operational data centers and over 800 more under construction, while China operates ~400 facilities.

Is this really a technology race with China, or is it an attempt to use government influence to line certain people’s pockets?

Filmed yesterday at Animal Shelter in Tucson, Arizona. The woman is Sarah Chen. The dog is Bailey, a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd. Three years ago in Portland, Oregon, Sarah's car was stolen from a grocery store parking lot.
Bailey was in the backseat. Sarah filed police reports. Posted on every lost pet site. Drove to every shelter within 200 miles. Car was found abandoned two days later. Bailey was gone. Sarah didn't stop.
For three years, Sarah called every animal shelter in the Western United States. 1,847 shelters total. Checked their websites daily. Drove to 400+ shelters in person during work trips. Spent over $30,000 in gas, hotels, and time off work. Yesterday morning, Desert Ridge Shelter in Tucson posted a photo of an Australian Shepherd found wandering 60 miles outside city limits. Sarah saw the post. Recognized Bailey's eyes immediately. Drove 12 hours straight from Portland. Phone footage shows Sarah entering the room. Bailey's ears perk up. Sarah says: "Bailey?" Bailey freezes. Completely still for five seconds.
Then EXPLODES-spinning, barking, launching at Sarah, knocking her to the ground. Sarah told us: "I called 1507 shelters. Drove to 400. Spent three years searching. Everyone told me to give up.
That Bailey was probably dead. I never believed them." Sometimes 1507 phone calls and 400 shelter visits end when you finally hear your dog's voice again.

🚨WOW!!!

An Ohio principal LOST HIS JOB after refusing to abandon a homeless 16-year-old student who was sleeping in a CAR.

He and his wife already had SIX KIDS… but they took him in anyway.

When the boy offered to LEAVE so the principal could save his career, he refused. ❤️

His name is Rob Burnside. He had spent 31 YEARS in education and was the principal of Lakota East High School outside Cincinnati.

The boy’s name is Landerius “DeDe” Hayes.

During DeDe’s junior year, his home life fell apart.

He says living with his mother wasn’t safe, his father was dealing with problems of his own, and there were nights when DeDe was sleeping in a car with the heater running because the mobile home where his father was staying was too cold.

...and yet, every morning, he kept showing up to school.

Eventually the school learned DeDe’s mother had moved outside the district. Without a qualifying address, DeDe was withdrawn from Lakota East.

That’s when Principal Burnside realized this wasn’t just an enrollment problem.

This kid didn’t have a freaking HOME.

Rob went home and told his wife, Angel, what was happening. Her response was basically: if he needs somewhere to live, he can live with us.

Rob and Angel already had SIX CHILDREN, including two they had adopted, but there was a 16-year-old boy out there without a stable place to sleep, and they couldn’t ignore it.

The couple prayed about whether they should take DeDe in. Rob has said that just minutes later, his phone buzzed.

It was DeDe.

“Hey, Mr. Burnside.”

Rob looked at his wife and knew they had their answer.

DeDe moved in with the Burnsides and suddenly had something he desperately needed: a warm house, food, stability and people who were going to show up for him.

While DeDe’s custody and residency situation was being worked out, Burnside allowed him to continue attending classes even though he’d already been withdrawn.

The district investigated Burnside for insubordination and raised concerns about enrollment, lunches and liability.

He was eventually placed on administrative leave.

After 31 YEARS in education, Rob says he was given a choice: step down or go through the termination process.

The 16 year old, DeDe, realized Rob’s career was on the line and offered to LEAVE THEIR HOME so Burnside could keep his job.

Rob wouldn’t allow it.

He hugged DeDe and told him: "You’re part of this family. We’re not gonna turn our back on you.”

So Burnside stepped away from the career he’d spent three decades building... and DeDe stayed.

The Burnsides eventually became his legal family. DeDe started calling Rob and Angel “Pops and Ma.”

Then this past May, Rob Burnside sat in the stands at DeDe’s high school graduation.

Not as the principal, just sitting there as a dad, watching the kid he refused to abandon walk across the stage.

DeDe is 18 now and is pursuing a career in aviation mechanics.

When asked he regretted what happened, Rob simple said:

“What value can we put on the life of a young person?”

When Rob Burnside had to choose between protecting that career and protecting a homeless kid who needed somebody…

He chose the kid.

And when that kid offered to sacrifice his own home to repay him…

Rob chose him AGAIN.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, I am sitting at Arkansas Children’s Hospital with my 2-year-old son, Turner, and I can literally see the State Capitol from his hospital window. We will be here until Sunday at the earliest, and possibly longer if things do not go the way we hope. His doctors are telling us that even when Turner is stable enough to leave the hospital, he needs significant support to keep him safe at home. That support is available through Arkansas’s CES Waiver, but Turner cannot access it because he is sitting on the waiting list.

I have tried countless times to set up a meeting with you and have been turned down every time. So this time, I am asking you to come to us. Please come visit Turner and me at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Come see for yourself how sick he is. Let me tell you what it is like to have a 2-year-old with a rare, progressive neurodegenerative disease and severe epilepsy, and what it is like to be told that your child needs more support to safely live at home while also being told that the state support meant for children like him is unavailable because of a waiting list.

Let me tell you what this is doing to our family too. I am missing work right now because my child is hospitalized. I miss work for appointments, hospital stays, seizures, therapies, illnesses, and all of the things that come with raising a medically complex child. I am exactly where I need to be, beside my son, but families cannot keep being expected to absorb lost income while also being denied the very supports that could help keep their children safe at home.

Governor Sanders, I am not asking you to read another report about the CES Waiver waitlist. I am asking you to come meet one of the children sitting on it. Turner is an Arkansas child, and he needs help now, not years from now. Please come see him, sit with us for a few minutes, and let me tell you what his doctors are saying he needs when he goes home. I want you to see for yourself what this waiting list actually looks like for a family living it.
