I'll tell you a story.

It was the year 2018 and the time of Ramadan, in Minna. I was volunteering with a community group called SISTERS CLOSET, run by Barr. Zahida and a host of other wonderful females.

We were called about a missing girl somewhere around Bosso.

@kogi_royalty In 2005 in FUT Minna, same Ebira extremists started an all out war against Christians right there on Bosso campus. When they saw that Christians regrouped and mounted a formidable counterattack, they had to disperse.

Didn’t start in 2014/15. As far back as the 80s some Ebira students dropped out of their universities and moved to a particular Middle East country to “learn the deen”. There’s an extremism issue in Kogi central.

And yes this is why I tell you people to avoid Ebira men.
Aside being egotistic and self-deluded, they can be radical.

When ISIS were at the height of their violence around 2014/15, i personally know two guys from my area that went to syria to join them. Many Ebira boys joined that time, infact one of their senior recruiter was my senior brother friend in Futminna. DSS got him around 2016.

Two years later she tried reconnecting and wanted to return. She already had a kid at the time. They eventually lost contact with her sha... sad

As a man and a dad, I will always say this: I still don’t believe there is any sane man who wakes up one day and becomes a deadbeat without reason. Men love their kids. These little beings always end up being our stress relievers. It’s like you’re sure they’re the only people you can always talk to, and their smiles melt our hearts.

But some people are so evil that they will make these men go through the worst, to the extent of hating themselves and their kids in the end, because it’s too hard to love those kids when you’re not on good terms with the mother. Yet, in some way, everyone always expects a man to stay calm and normal, send school fees, provide the basics, and show up for his kids. But do you know the price they pay for this?

Before you judge anyone, just know that you’re doing it because you’re not the one going through what they’re going through.
