The real reason is that you can earn $TRB by reporting Oracle data, and In order to report you have to stake $TRB. So the demand of $TRB is huge and that's why it is pumping.

Here is how this all happened 👇

Before we start, first know what TRB is.

$TRB is the native token of Tellor Tributes, which is a decentralized Oracle protocol.

How has it all started?

👉 On August 23, a whale withdrew 12k TRB from Binance, which is around 0.5% of its total supply.

👉 From August 30 to September 16, a whale accumulated over 22% of TRB total supply.

👉 During the same time period, TRB pumped from $10 to $46.

The Parabolic phase 📈

👉 During this time period, four other whales withdrew another 7% of the total supply.

👉 Then they also deposited some of it on Binance, which caused its price to drop from $46 to $26.

The Retail madness 🤯

👉 The #TRB pump was not just whale accumulation; it was also due to retail greed.

👉 Retail started shorting it aggressively around the $30 mark, hoping it would go below $10.

👉 The funding rate on Binance and other exchanges reached -3%, which shows how aggressively TRB was getting shorted.

👉 Due to low supply availability, whales started pumping it easily, and the shorts started to liquidate.

👉 The thing that added fuel to this was aggressive whale accumulation, as three wallets accumulated over 4% of the total supply in a week.

Final phase (Still going) 🚶

👉 Retail started getting exhausted, but whales kept on pumping it.

👉 Bullish market momentum was the cherry on top for TRB as it pumped past the $100 mark.

TLDR

➡️ Whales accumulation created a supply shock.

➡️ Retail started shorting and got liquidated.

➡️ Whales accumulated more and completely rekt the shorters.
