. @joelpollak Yes, that was a tasteless low blow written in anger. I unreservedly apologize. I can’t begin to imagine the hell you and your family must have been through.

@OptimoPrincipi Another detail from Dio: "But no one knows whether he was really slain — though a great number of heads purporting to be his were brought to Rome — or whether he made good his escape."
From David Sedaris on Trump vs Biden:
"I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. “Can I interest you in the chicken?” she asks. “Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it?"
To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.”
@CharlesPPierce I wish these damned NYT reporters would stop trying (and failing) to be Hemingway and just tell us what the guy said. What happened to leads/ledes that told us who, when, what, where?
@CyrilRamaphosa No, you have not worked to restore South Africa’s wealth to its people. You and your party and the gangsters you have enabled have been too busy stealing it. You had every opportunity to create a modern social democracy. What South Africa got was feudalism and mass unemployment.
@HC_Richardson@StephenKing Why is any jingle necessary? It seems to be a thing with podcasts that they all have to have sound effects. Not always. Good delivery and clean sound are what matter. Alistair Cook didn't need musical accompaniment.
