Unrelated but everytime a product booms like this, it reminds me how much humans crave belonging and community. People aren’t buying these cups SOLELY for the benefits of the cup itself. They want to feel like they fit “in” too. They’re buying inclusion.

Making a conscious choice to work for a weapons manufacturer is very mad I can’t lie. I was faced with the opportunity after graduation bcos BAE Systems recruits directly from my uni and that did not interest me one bit. I was repulsed by the idea of working for such a company.
Some takes from my month working abroad:
- Being by the sea and getting direct sunlight everyday did wonders for my mental health
- You get to experience the culture of the city on your own pace
- Changing up your daily routine helps avoid burnout and you return more motivated

As a techie, I have a soft spot for ASOS because they are serious pioneers in e-commerce UX and design. Every major e-commerce discovery room was looking at their app/website for inspiration. It's a shame their business model is failing - hope it's not too late!
