Never understood H.S. coaches who ignore freshman or JV programs.
That’s the future of your varsity team.
Then they complain about no depth, culture, or players ready for varsity.
If you only coach varsity, you’re not building a program—you’re just coaching a team.
Writing our own story built on culture and connection.
Our story continues in year #✌🏼! Congratulations to the inaugural Richland Swimming & Diving Boys State Team of 2026.

How Prosper Richland, in its first year of existence, has succeeded in many sports.
Richland has the smallest enrollment of Prosper ISD’s four high schools but has made the playoffs in every team sport in which it was eligible for postseason play.

Incredible night spent at the PISD Coaches’ Ball. I am so grateful for Coach Jamison & Coach Gerfers for the kind of work that they do not only for kids, but for me.
As MUCH as they’ll deny it, Richland Swimming & Diving is what it is because of them!

There’s no better display than Brandon in what it means to #BeAPro daily.
From never diving before to placing one spot away from the state podium.
So grateful he’s part of our PROgram!
Congratulations to Brandon Espinoza Pulido, junior, on being Swimming & Diving’s Student of the 3rd Quarter!
In February, Brandon placed 4th at the UIL 4A State Meet in San Antonio. A true display of athleticism paired with a high IQ for learning.

I've had multiple coaches win #UILState tell me their best coaching job wasn't done when they won state...it was taking a team with 2-8 talent and making them 7-4 #txhsfb
ELITE to say the least.
Congratulations to Chloe Brandon, freshman, and Ryan DuBrul, sophomore, on being named to the 2026 THSCA Super Elite Team.

"If you're a tough dude, this is a good spot for you.
If you like yourself way too much, this is probably not the spot for you."

Houston HC Kelvin Sampson - Why Coaches Fail
- "I think the coaches that fail at every level, are the coaches that are passive aggressive. Passing aggressive coaches are usually afraid to hold kids accountable, they rationalize."
- "If you're going to build a culture, the first thing you have to come to grips with, you're going to have confrontation."
- Consistency
- Competence
- Confidence
- Confrontation
The best high school coaches aren’t afraid to:
- Bench their top scorer for a lazy defensive possession.
- Praise the kid who only plays 5 minutes but talks all game on defense.
- Push their entire team to become better, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Standards > Stats.
What is the Cost of Leadership?
It costs $0 to say “hello.”
It costs $0 to pick up trash
It costs $0 to say “please.”
It costs $0 to be kind
It costs $0 to say “thank you.”
It costs $0 to encourage others
It costs $0 to smile
Lead by Example.
It costs nothing.
