Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.

Ricci Davis, the inmate that Ron Logan supposedly confessed to, wrote me a letter after the DOC denied our request to interview him. I just got the letter today and it takes aim at Prosecutor Nicholas McLeland. Here's what it said:

It was the longest day we've had since this trial began. In the afternoon, we heard the confessions Richard Allen made to prison guards at the Westville Correctional Facility where he was held for more than a year.
There's some significance to this particular letter that I didn't realize at first. It's dated March 5, 2023 at the top. However, former Westville officer Ethan Drang testified that Allen slipped this note under his door on April 5, 2023. No real explanation for date difference.
