The Kalshi team made the decision and changed the event title of a mention market from

What will Trump say during RNC Convention? (that is, essentially, Night 1 + Night 2)
to

What will Trump say during RNC Convention (Night 2)? https://t.co/yYjcjaT6H8

This changed what the market was about wrongly and completely.

Hours shortly after, they also created Night 1 for people to trade: https://t.co/5tX5bIFMD8

Essentially the Night 1 + Night 2 market was diced up from one whole market to 2 markets.

The wrong clarification was made and the clarification email was sent on Sep 08, 10:05 am, 2026 on Tuesday.

I was a lot of the volume in that market. and had a lot of shares at a price around 70-90c, before they made the clarification. My thought was that since the market would count 2 Nights, some of the strikes should be pretty safe.

After I saw the clarification, I contacted Support prior to the event happening, and was told "Unfortunately because this is an active and ongoing market we cannot provide any clarifications that could materially affect trading on the market".

So I waited till the event was finished. I contacted support 3 more times and also made sure that the markets team were informed. But Kalshi still provide no reponse/compensation at all to what happened (for each time when I get connected to a human agent, I made sure to get all the relevant info out and waited around 24 hours patiently).

This was not a "rulecuck", this was not a "minor clarification", this was a complete market change turning one thing into another.

I wasn’t really publicizing it because I thought this could be solved with Support. I got no response at all, given that the market was blatantly changed from one thing to another. I’m more disappointed than angry about this… the absurdity.

Just because the volume on this market was not in the millions prior to the clarification doesn’t mean you can rug people and give no response (

After more than a week till the event finished, Kalshi still provides no response at all regarding the issue, despite I contacted support numerous times and made sure that the markets team were aware.

Providing no response, no refund or anything for the traders who got rugged solely because of a wrongly made market title change should not happen in a fair exchange.
