Niki Lauda once warned the FIA about a driver whose reckless racing could eventually get someone killed.
Silverstone 2021 was the clearest example of why Lauda was concerned. A desperate and dangerous move at Copse sent Max Verstappen into the wall with a 51G impact and to hospital.
Drivers like Ricciardo and Vettel were visibly shocked. Vettel even waited for Max to return from hospital. Meanwhile, the driver responsible celebrated the win as if he had won the championship.
That contrast says everything.
They found some 130R footage (Russell’s car) for the ghost car lap.
Downshifting in the corner because you’ve run out of revs… yay.
Yes 130R isn’t what it was pre-2003 anyway, but it deserves better than this.
So do the drivers. So do the fans.
@NickSchwagerNFL We’ve just watched Allen make so many mistakes, don’t judge Stroud too early, was one mistake, otherwise he’s been great (especially if Kirk caught the one earlier & no illegal shift)
Hahahahaha no no no you deserve it. You and all the gorms who hounded Moyes out for finishing 9th. The ones who boo’d when we drew against Brighton at home with no attackers while we were 6th. Prick
