Less than 10% of health dollars go to Physicians. 7.3% to be precise. The idea from Eric Levitz et al that “cutting healthcare costs must come from cutting physicians salary & no place else” is hilarious. I think many specialists earn too much. But let’s be serious here, people.

@yagirrlj@TheWapplehouse@kenzianidiot there’s been a position posted for over a year. subspecialists are hard to find in general and often aren’t chomping at the bit to move to a charming but dysfunctional city 😂
@TheWapplehouse@kenzianidiot this is obviously a huge bummer. but my surgeon spouse is trying manically hard to fit in all the patients he possibly can before going out on his parental leave, so he is overbooked and has cases scheduled right up until i am due. everyone is just doing their best.
