So, I'm mostly done with this website. Twitter's latest moves cutting off third party API access (without any warning for devs or users) was the last straw. https://t.co/z8fIigJgzg
@JWPascale If you ever drive through this area with Google Maps, you’ll get a barrage of “Welcome to Washington, DC” and “Welcome to Virginia” messages, without crossing a bridge.
The creators of Tweetbot, @tapbots, have a wonderful Mastodon app called Ivory on the horizon. The Mastodon app has replaced Twitter on my home screen, and Ivory will soon replace that. https://t.co/oswDlmugNP

Strike one was the corporate and product instability. Strike two was some of my favorite content creators moving to Mastodon. Strike three was killing third party apps, in the most callous way. Tweetbot *was* Twitter for me, since 1.0 in 2011, and it died an undignified death.

Power On: Apple is planning to debut the Reality Pro mixed-reality headset this spring, ahead of WWDC, and ship it later in the year. The push to launch — along with the economy — will lead to an otherwise muted 2023 for Apple. https://t.co/WsByewy7hm
With the headset’s “xrOS”, the use of X in Apple product names continues. Here it stands for “mixed reality.” But it’s funny that there was a phone called XR and that was pronounced “ten ar.”

@Cityofdoral Mayor and Council has proudly designated NW 56th St between NW 79th Ave and NW 87th Ave as “Maxwell Waas Way” in honor of a long-time member of our community that has greatly impacted our City, even before it was a City – Mr. Maxwell Waas.
