A co-worker ended their life after our shift the other day. Didn't go home and shower. Didn't change out of scrubs. Don't know if it was planned or spontaneous but I do know we got the last living moments. And I don't know how I feel about that.
Our broken team is shattered.
Everyone knew what the deal was in the NFL and yet Colin Kaepernick still never worked in the league again. These folks are beyond accountability or even the capacity for shame.
The suicide of Ian Alexander, Jr., the son of Regina King, has me thinking about how so many black men suffer in silence needlessly. Brothers, if you feel like your life is spiraling out of control, please, seek help. It's not a sign of weakness or failure.
One love.
Here is our statement on why we left BLMTO, @bolshevikbaddie "After over a year of struggling within @BLM_TO to improve internal processes, we left the group when, like many other people, we found out about @blmcanada_ $8 million dollar purchase of the @WildseedCentre_ "
@SarahJama_ thanks for your courage and commitment to the movement. So many people betray and exploit the trust of those they fight for in the face of political and social gain.
@LADDY__BEE@ABC7Chicago Right! That brought me to my other point: based on LaFountain’s statement there were likely two instances in which she would’ve left her drink unattended…especially given that she was in the comfort of her own home.
@MailOnline are we going to address this headline? Instead of being actual journalists and encouraging an investigation, you’re declaring that he’s been vindicated? Ironically your narrative is meant to push back against ppl rushing to conclusions #JusticeForLaurenSmithFields
@CR0WNPRlNCE According to his statement, she stepped away twice (once to see her brother & then again to go to the bathroom). Is anyone else wondering if she left her drink unattended? Given that she was in the comfort of her own apartment that seems probable. #JusticeForLaurenSmithFields
If the family’s lawyer is right that several more women have come forward about this guy, why aren’t the cops and media looking into that? #JusticeForLaurenSmithFields
@ABC30 Also, if she was so intoxicated that she reached the point of puking, how did her brother not notice AND why would she have returned to drinking? Typically once you reach the point of puking you don’t want to consume more of what’s making you feel bad. Doesn’t make sense
