Gov Sununu- you cannot pick and choose the science that sounds good depending on the day. There was more to the CDC recommendation. The CDC also recommended vaccinating all educators (not just teachers) in phase 1 but you did not pick that to push out. #nhpolitics
@SpinelliMath @JustinAion @TeachMrReed I am high risk and my district is not letting me teach remotely and my state is not prioritizing vaccines for teachers. The world is backwards.
As our school mourns the loss of a wonderful math teacher, I have to ask: why are we rushing to return to school buildings before educators receive the vaccine?
@mperezCHS @GovChrisSununu @NHEdCommr The “science” he refers to is a study from a school where funds were invested into mitigation efforts to make the schools safe such as small cohorts, improved HVAC, increased cleaning. It takes money to make it safe. Also, vaccinate your essential front line teachers!
@ms_clapp@jcpsnc@Harris_Regional @kim_k_winter So frustrated. Up her in NH our governor refuses to prioritize teachers (only one in the country) but insists all schools stay fully open. I feel like every group is being vaccinated before teachers- ski patrol, tattoo artists, nail salons, anyone that applies. Except teachers.
He uses math as an example of how changing your perspective helps deepen understanding. His message applies to human understanding and empathy. “Changing your perspective makes your mind more flexible and makes you open to new things.” https://t.co/XBc1CnmvSd
Parents: Staying at home is hard ... change is hard ... for everyone. When the kids challenge you, they are really saying that they need your love. Hug them tight. That’s what matters the most. ❤️
