I’m actually glad they didn’t make him sing “Leaves from the Vine” in this version, because that moment is so personal and iconic that it could’ve easily felt forced.

But keeping the song playing in the background?

PERFECT CHOICE.

It felt like a quiet tribute to the original scene while letting Iroh’s grief speak for itself.

It’s not about recreating every detail... it’s about preserving the emotion behind it.

TOPH AND TY LEE’S CASTING IS SO PERFECT ‼️

The actresses really captured the spirit of the animated characters.

The look, the personality, and especially the voices feel so close to what we know from the cartoon.

Toph has that same confident, fearless energy, while Ty Lee still has that cheerful but unpredictable charm.

It’s always hard adapting such iconic characters, but they really understood what makes them feel like Toph and Ty Lee. ‼️

I was wondering if they were going to bring him back after skipping his Book 1 storyline.

Because JEONG JEONG wasn’t just some random character.

He was AANG'S FIRST FIREBENDING TEACHER in the original series, and his return matters because he’s also one of the important members of the WHITE LOTUS! ‼️

I’m glad they didn’t completely remove him because Jeong Jeong is one of those characters who feels small at first, but his role becomes much more important as the story moves forward.

TOPH VS THE BOULDER FELT LIKE IT NEEDED MORE CHAOS ‼️

I’m not gonna lie, I was expecting MORE from this moment.

The original Book 2 introduction of Toph was iconic because she didn’t just beat opponents. She completely changed how we saw earthbending.

The arena fight showed how different she was. Everyone else was fighting with strength, but Toph was fighting with confidence, technique, and pure instinct.

So seeing the Boulder scene adapted here felt a little LACKING.

I think I was expecting something more intense... not just one opponent, but that same feeling from the cartoon where Toph had to prove herself against multiple fighters and completely DOMINATE the arena.

I wanted that same moment of:

“Oh… this tiny girl is actually terrifying.”

Because that’s the magic of Toph.

She’s not powerful because she’s loud. She’s powerful because she knows exactly what she’s doing.‼️

NO BADGERMOLES. NO SECRET TUNNEL. NO OMA AND SHU?! ‼️

This was one scene I really wanted to see in Season 2 live action because the Cave of Two Lovers wasn’t just a random romantic detour.

This episode gave us so much important lore.

We learned about the BADGERMOLES, the original earthbenders, and how humans learned earthbending from them.

We got the story of OMA AND SHU, the two lovers whose legend became connected to Omashu’s history.

And of course… the famous SECRET TUNNEL moment. One of the most iconic and unforgettable songs from the entire series.‼️

It was also one of the early scenes where AANG AND KATARA'S FEELINGS started becoming more obvious (and the KISS of course). It wasn’t just a cute romance scene. It was part of building their relationship while also expanding the world of Avatar.

NO SANDBENDING?! ‼️

I can’t lie… I was really expecting the live-action to include the sandbenders and the original desert library journey from Book 2.

Because that episode wasn’t just about finding information about the Fire Nation. This was also the first time we were introduced to SANDBENDING and a completely different style of earthbending.

And that detail mattered because it showed that even though Toph is the greatest earthbender, her skills are built around solid ground.

BUT SAND?? ‼️

Sand moves. Sand shifts. Sand is unpredictable.

Seeing Toph struggle with it was such a great reminder that bending isn’t just about power. It’s about adapting to the environment.

I understand why they changed the story and connected Aang directly to the Spirit World, but I do feel like they lost a chance to show another side of earthbending and the Gaang’s journey through the desert.

Oh Baby... That scene absolutely broke my heart for Toph‼️

What made it hurt even more was that she wasn’t talking about her eyesight.

She was talking about how nobody understood her‼️you know what I mean⁉️

Even Aang, despite his good intentions, completely missed what she was trying to say.

For someone who had spent her entire life being underestimated and overprotected, those words carried so much weight.

Toph wasn’t asking for pity.

She was asking to be seen.
Not even her OWN FAMILY.

They loved her, but they NEVER really SAW her for who she was.

They saw someone fragile‼️
Someone who needed constant protection.

Then she joins Team Avatar hoping things would be different… Only to feel misunderstood all over again..

REALIZATIONS⁉️Even today, there are people who do TERRIBLE things, not because they were born evil, but because hunger pushed them somewhere they never imagined they’d go‼️

1. LONG FENG
No contest‼️

This man lied to an entire city, manipulated the Earth King, controlled the Dai Li, covered up the war, and helped create the conditions that led to Ba Sing Se’s downfall.

The amount of damage caused by one bureaucrat is actually impressive‼️

2. KING KUEI
Not because he’s evil.
Because he’s FRUSTRATING‼️.

My guy was sitting on the throne completely unaware that his own kingdom was being run by someone else.

You spend half the season wanting to grab him by the shoulders and yell:

“MY God.. PLEASE pay ATTENTION to your own GOVERNMENT.‼️‼️"

3. PROFESSOR ZEI
Honestly, I don’t think most fans hate him.
People mostly think he’s reckless.

The man found the greatest library in the world and immediately decided,

“Yep. I’m living here forever.”

Respectfully, bro, there is a giant owl spirit and the building is sinking into the sand‼️

4. LADY BEIFONG
They’re flawed parents‼️
Overprotective.
Controlling.
Unable to see who Toph really is.

But once you learn their perspective, they’re more tragic than hateful.

They genuinely thought they were protecting their daughter.
They were just doing it in the worst possible way.

OOHHH MY‼️Yeeees, I know Jet is one of the most DIVISIVE characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender… But he is the MVP this Season‼️

And for a long time, that pain turned him into someone willing to hurt innocent people in the name of revenge.

That’s what made his story so tragic‼️

Because beneath all that anger was a kid who never got the chance to heal.

What gets me is that when it mattered most, Jet chose to do the right thing.

He helped Aang and the others.
He stood against the people manipulating him.
And he put himself in danger knowing exactly what it could cost.

That’s why his ending hurts so much‼️

Not because a HERO died.

But because a broken kid finally found his way back to himself… and didn’t get enough time to live as the person he was becoming.

For all his mistakes, Jet died trying to help others.

And that’s a redemption arc I’ll never forget‼️
