I found Banjล to be a surprisingly interesting protagonist when given the chance... how he's motivated by resentment more than anything, how he only finds the understanding he's desperate for in conflict, and how this leaves him alone to grapple with the realization he's only-
Done! Tomino's ideas and style shine through at points, but they're held back under a generally standard and unremarkable series.
I'm glad I watched it, but I'd only recommend Daitarn 3 to those especially interested in Tomino's development and progression as a creative.
