Routine #HIV and #Hepatitis in A&E departments in #London#Manchester#Brighton and #Blackpool has found 3,500 cases in just 18 months, including 580 HIV cases.
Opt-out testing works, saves the NHS money, and it's key to stopping new HIV cases by 2030.

💥World first💥 post @reprievetrial guidance on statins for primary prevention for people with HIV!
We recommend offering a statin to all >40 which is consistent with @NICEComms guidance. Thank you all who contributed - an intense but sterling effort!!

Congratulations on undermining lawful industrial action conducted by our hardworking junior doctor colleagues. It would be regrettable if those pharmacists have been compelled to act outside of their scope of practice or job description.
5% pay rise for a band 5 nurse starting salary of £27,055 annually is £1352. Realistically about £65 a month better off. With energy bills being £100s a month more expensive.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out but it’s hardly inspiring…
If your GP offered you a treatment that has been proven to:
- reduce your risk of heart disease by 46%;
- halve your chances of dying from heart disease;
- reduce cancer incidence by 45% and cancer mortality by 40%..
..you'd jump at it, right?
It exists. It's cycling to work.
🚨 NEW: Oil giant Shell has just recorded £32,200,000,000 in profit – the highest in 115 years.
Will we see its corporate executives named and shamed for being “greedy”?
Or does that only apply to teachers and nurses fighting for fair pay?

Introducing you to some new Greater Manchester icons … our #BeeNetwork buses.👇🏻

They’re all being built in the North of England.👊🏻
@COSMakin@MFTnhs@MFT_Hive @joannerjmoore @deanayling @cherylcasey22 @Reddit I don't think that patients experiencing massive delays & workforce being put under huge pressure is acceptable just because it's been worse elsewhere. I was on a day off yesterday. I'm back in on a late shift today, I'll compile a feedback list and send it over 📃
@COSMakin@MFTnhs@MFT_Hive @joannerjmoore @deanayling @cherylcasey22 @Reddit And on the subject of locums, we were told one of the benefits of Epic was that generic logins were to be a thing of the past, but I keep seeing prescriptions from 'LocumDr123' which makes it hard to contact the prescriber if there is an error.
@COSMakin@MFTnhs@MFT_Hive @joannerjmoore @deanayling @cherylcasey22 @Reddit I'm sure the system is going to be excellent - when everyone knows what they are doing. In my experience so far the training & roll-out has left a lot to be desired.
I'm a Senior Pharmacist in Infectious Diseases. I've had all three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. I trust the science which shows that the vaccine protects from severe disease; reducing morbidity, mortality & ICU admissions. #VaccinesSaveLives#GetVaccinated#GetBoostedNow
