Please remember: when we store emotions inside & donโt allow ourselves to process, feel & release them, we may also unconsciously cultivate literal pain inside, lasting or repetitive mental stories that donโt serve, body dysfunction, energy blockages & even more inner resistance.
Managing your emotion(s) doesnโt mean to suppress or deny it. It means to be aware of it, name it, feel it, own it, express it in a way thatโs true & that serves, learn why it came, integrate the lesson, do something about it, move it out, let it go AND donโt let IT manage you.
Trauma can make you agree to things just to keep the peace because you think there will be negative consequences for expressing how you feel and you're used to being invalidated. Healing lets you enforce your boundaries so you don't keep the peace and start a war inside yourself.
โYou have not yet experienced all your happiest daysโ.
Hands down one of the most comforting things Iโve ever read, because this simple truth is very easy to disregard.
People who lack the emotional intelligence to understand your depth will call you sensitive. They can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves. Your sensitivity is not a weakness, but an emotional strength. Stop letting them project their lack onto you as your weakness.
