@abbydphillip Why didn't you correct @michaelgwaltz when he lied on your show, falsely claiming @RoyCooperNC waited 5 days to request federal aid? Gov. Cooper declared a State of Emergency on Sept. 25. Helene hit NC on Sept. 27 (with some impacts day before). That *same day*...
...Cooper requested an Expedited Major Disaster Declaration from the federal government to get immediate aid. And the next morning, the Biden administration granted additional aid & funding. It's embarrassing & dangerous @CNN keeps inviting liars on panels without correcting them
@MeghanMcCain Hey, Meghan, don’t know if you noticed, but like 75% of the replies to that tweet you retweeted are blatantly antisemitic. Thanks for amplifying that filth and showing us all the white nationalist swamp you must be wading in if that’s what your algorithm feeds you.
@chrisgherbert@ArmandDoma That's a good point. They definitely started the shift (along with Miami Vice and others trying to ape MTV). Tony Scott probably more than the others when it came to hyperactive editing, though I think Bay helped push it all to the Nth degree in action movies.
@chrisgherbert@ArmandDoma Could maybe point to Batman Forever embracing the comic book movie as bright & shiny toy-selling product in response to Tim Burton's resistance as a harbinger of things to come, though X-Men & Raimi's Spider-Man movies were probably a more direct influence on the MCU.
@chrisgherbert@ArmandDoma And with a more narrow influence, Toy Story completely changed the world of animation.
I guess '95 also marked the beginning of all the Pulp Fiction imitators.
Funny how Kevin McCarthy telling the truth in an interview cost him the Speaker’s seat in 2015 and telling a lie in an interview got him ejected from it in 2023. Dude’s just not a great, uh, speaker.
