The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!
(TS: 10 Sep 16:40 ET)
Like all of you, I am utterly stunned and heartbroken and sick to my soul today. It is unimaginable to write these words. I met Charlie Kirk when he was 18 years old, a young man so eager and determined that I immediately turned to a friend and said, “That kid is going to be the head of the RNC one day.” Charlie became even bigger and more important than that. It was a privilege to watch this principled man stand up for his beliefs and create the single most important conservative political organization in America. But more importantly, Charlie was a good man, a man who believed in right and wrong, who stood by his Biblical values. All of us will miss him, and I can’t imagine the pain of his beautiful young family, and we must all pray for them. And we must pick up the baton where Charlie left it, fighting for the things he believed in so passionately. And we must fight for a better America - an America where good people can speak truth and debate passionately without fear of a bullet. I weep for Charlie’s family, and I weep for my country today. Most of all, I weep for Charlie.
Instead of sharing the horrific, vile, & heart-stopping video of Charlie Kirk being shot, I urge you to share images of his beautiful family whose worst nightmare has come true.
Every kid deserves a dad.
Every wife deserves a husband.
Every American needs Charlie Kirk.
“When discourse ends, violence begins.”
- Charlie Kirk
All he wanted to do is talk to you people, and you fucking shot him for it.
I feel sick seeing what this country has become.
RIP Charlie Kirk. It doesn’t matter what your opinion is of Charlie or his politics if you don’t view this as one of the darkest days in American history than you are part of the problem.
Charlie Kirk is a husband, father, son and friend. He is an incredible man who loves America. He has been shot in what appears to be an assassination attempt in Utah.
I am holding Charlie, his wonderful wife Erika and their children is deep prayer.
Almighty Father, Please heal our brother Charlie. Wrap your loving arms around him and bring miraculous healing as only You, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ can do.
BREAKING: 'Idaho killer' Bryan Kohberger has agreed to plead guilty to all counts in the horrific slaying of four University of Idaho students in 2022, according to ABC.
Kohberger reportedly made the announcement by sending a letter to the victims' families.
Kohberger will avoid the death penalty with the plea and will be sentenced to four consecutive life sentences.
The lives of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kayleen Goncalves were taken by Kohberger, who is accused of sneaking into their home and stabbing them.
According to court documents, roommate Dylan Mortensen says she was woken up at 4 am on the night of the incident and heard a voice say, "There's someone here."
Mortensen said she heard "whimpers" and peeked outside her door three times.
On the third time, she said she came face to face with a masked man who walked past her door and left the house.
The following video is the 911 call.
Casey and I are sad to learn that John Thrasher has passed away.
John was a decorated combat veteran, served the state well as both Speaker of the House and as a Florida senator, and provided great leadership as the president of his alma mater, Florida State University.
John lived a remarkable life — and he made a big difference in the lives of so many in our state.
We send our condolences to Jean and the entire Thrasher family. RIP.
RIP President John Thrasher. He was President of FSU from 2014 - 2021 after military service and a political career that started in 1986.
Thrasher had been battling cancer before his death. He was 81 years old.
I will miss seeing you out on the field playing the game you love, but the memories you’ve left our family will be savored for a lifetime. Through the ups and downs, you never wavered. You always stayed true to you. I am most proud of you for that. Having a front seat on your journey has been a dream come true. Your second career will be greater than your first. Thank you, JT.
Not many people love the game of football the way you do. Watching this chapter close hurts, but seeing the strength, heart, and grace you’ve shown through it all makes me even prouder to call you my brother. I’ll never get to sack you like I always dreamed, but I’ll always be in your corner. Love you, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next. 🖤 @jordantrav13
