The @nytimes just published one of the most serious sets of allegations imaginable against Israel – claims of systematic sexual violence, including a bizarre story about carrots and trained rape dogs. We checked the sources.
What we found is journalistic malpractice. 🧵
@EricDLombardi These colleges did 10x the revenue from international students they lost from Ford's tuition freeze. Don't gaslight us into thinking the PCs were the main reason for the insanity we've been through with our colleges.
@cbcwatcher And yet most of the recipients will still have a paywall. Shouldn't our tax dollars at least ensure that we can read the news we're paying for?
Not only has Ottawa not been tracking when temporary residents enter and exit the country, it also opted against taking enforcement action in cases (~800) where fraud has clearly been identified https://t.co/EznoUhYCda
@justinboone The state of the Bucs receivers could make or break my team. Is it better to not play a WR3 on a Thursday to give you more options on Sunday if things change? I have a Godwin decision...
You cannot convince me any of this money is necessary.
If the industry needs more individuals with skills, then raise wages, and that will incentivize more individuals to elect to be educated/trained. Otherwise businesses should invest in training themselves.
@justinboone I'm curious about stashes going forward: Jayden Daniels, Chris Godwin, Jayden Reed and Mike Evans. With bench space at a premium, do these players coming back from injuries warrant a spot for the playoffs?
@EricDLombardi My bet is that people want kids to vote in school (as a part of their grade 10 civics). How will be monitor this for bias? Growing up in Ontario, my teachers railed against Mike Harris endlessly in the classroom.
@ShannonGaitz@mylesmkuah@ZCallianiotis You said in the Finale Recap that racism was a big part of this season (a 'blight') but you didn't ask Myles about that? What was his experience?
Of course the carbon tax increases the price of food across Canada. As we raise to $200 tonne (to deal with the 'climate crisis'), it will necessarily make things more expensive and make Canada less productive #cdnpoli
@trevortombe@dr_jen_winter Come on, you claim it has no significant effect on food prices. My question is: at what point does it start to significantly make things more expensive? $70 tonne? $200? We should know this answer before we continue to raise it higher. @brianlilley
@andrew_leach But if the carbon tax isn't significantly increasing prices or supply chain strain, when would it? Could we 10X the tax level and still not notice? Economists should know when the tax will impact prices and to what degree. I'd love a number.
