When should you water your crops?

This is one of the first questions new farmers ask — and the timing makes all the difference.

The golden hours are early morning or late evening. At these times, the sun is gentle, meaning less evaporation and more water reaching the roots where it matters most.

I once made the mistake of watering at midday. The plants looked refreshed for a moment, but most of the water disappeared into the air before the soil could drink it. Once I changed my schedule, the crops responded with stronger growth and greener leaves.

⚠️ One more thing: avoid watering late at night. Damp leaves in the dark are a breeding ground for fungal diseases like blight and mildew.

Farming rewards those who pay attention to the details. It’s not just about effort — it’s about working with nature’s rhythm.

💡 Smart timing = healthier crops, bigger harvests.
