If an MP’s basic salary is 60,000 just assume they’re taking Ghc 150,000 every month.

If a Ghanaian is earning 6,000 a month which is even on the high side, he will be taxed from it. He will use the remainder to pay his rent, fuel, fees, groceries, utilities, hospital bills. At the end his “true in hand” salary is Ghc 1,000. That’s the only money he can even struggle to say it’s for his savings or personal benefit.

But for a Parliamentarian, after the Ghc 60k there is
