Today marks 71 years since the Greeks in Constantinople were subjected to a pogrom by the Turks. On September 6-7, 1955, state sponsored mob violence was carried out against the Greek population after false news was spread that Greeks bombed Kemal's house in Thessaloniki, while in reality the bomb was planted by a Turkish consulate worker. After this false flag attack, the following atrocities were committed by the Turks 👇

• 30+ Greeks killed and 1,000 wounded

• 400 Greek women and children raped

• 4,000 Greek homes and 4,000 businesses destroyed

• 73 churches, 26 schools 2 monasteries and 1 synagogue were severely damaged

There used to be approximately 65,000 Greeks in Constantinople in 1955, and after Turkey's constant oppression, discrimination and ethnic cleansing of the Greek minority, today only about 3,000 Greeks remain. Shame to see that even today, Turks carry that same Grecophobia in their blood.

Greece’s Health Minister @AdonisGeorgiadi is lying through his teeth about Greek attitudes toward the child-murdering Israeli entity.

A recent poll by Pew Research found that nearly two thirds of Greeks have an unfavourable opinion of Israel.

Moreover, his claim that Israel protects Greece from Turkey is laughable.

First off, Greece is a member of NATO. NATO’s combined military might vastly surpasses that of Israel.

Second, Israel’s hyper-belligerent rhetoric toward Turkey and its genocidal expansionism actually *escalate* tensions in the region and make Greeks *less safe*.

Third, if war breaks out between Turkey and Greece, there is no way that Israel will sacrifice its soldiers to defend Greece. Rather, it will use Greece as a proxy to weaken Turkey, just as NATO has used Ukrainians as cannon fodder to weaken Russia.

The government of @kmitsotakis is deeply complicit in Israel’s crimes. He and his ministers should be perp-walked to The Hague to face charges for aiding and abetting a genocide.
