Many, many thanks to @torbooks for donating hundreds of titles to our 'books to prisoners' non-profit! (They'll get sent out - for free - to incarcerated folks across the U.S. who requested these genres.)
REMINDER: tomorrow (Thursday, December 1st!), at 7PM, PLP and @SFPublicLibrary's #OneCityOneBook event team up for a candid discussion around restrictions our criminal legal system places on reading & what we do to get books inside. Sign up here: https://t.co/cuZPSK9ebp
Announce: on Dec 1st, we're presenting our work sending books to incarcerated people across the country at a @SFPublicLibrary virtual event: https://t.co/FunYSEbMgT
@WarriorsPR Why are you signing someone who’s had credible sexual assault allegations that haven’t been addressed? I thought we were better than the nfl
REMINDER: during #BannedBookWeek, you can buy books from our wishlists to send to incarcerated folks, and each purchase will be matched 100% by a kind donor: https://t.co/qiWQCn8egk
It's #BannedBooksWeek! A donor has offered to match up to $1,000 of purchases made via our @WordPlayWV wish list and donated to APBP from now until 9/24.
Double your gift and help support reading and education behind bars: https://t.co/p8wc5IH6PI #PrisonBooksWishlists
@JenReadsRomance Phew, that doesn’t sound like an ike’s sandwich. Would’ve hated to hear my favorite quick sandwich chain had that type of memorable rage quit
@kidsilkhaze This is why I vote for every library ballot measure and sign up to be a friend of my local library. Their services are invaluable to patrons, but they have real budget constraints
