If there are any two Congregation members out there (@UniofOxford), *THIS* is the question that must be asked to Council. This code leaves little to no doubt of the fact that universities are subservient to UCEA's Board. This gets crazier when you realise universities own UCEA.

@GeorgeGreenwood Really unfortunate that Judicial Review carries so many risks for those who start proceedings. This seems to me an egregious case of inaction where the PA will get away with it *just because* JR adverse costs could be ruinous.

They claim not to have enough time to consider whether they want to take the case to the Upper Tribunal because the promulgation took place a few weeks after the actual decision date. Alas!

Update on the UCEA Code disclosure order: judgement has now been placed in the National Archives (https://t.co/pqJuJ3QCWT). The @ICOnews has successfully asked, under rule 40, for the disclosure date to be moved to the 24th of October.

À propos, I'd like to thank @rosenbaum6 for writing "FOI: A practical guidebook", which contains top tips for approaching the ICO or the FTT. UT and the CoA in the next edition??

As he notes, one should not be too afraid of challenging the ICO. FTT overturns 30-40% of ICO's DNs.
