🚨 Alabama: Man’s 1975 rape conviction overturned after 42 years in prison
Ervin Harris, convicted in 1975 of rape and sentenced to 99 years, has had his conviction overturned by a Jefferson County judge.
The ruling was based on modern scientific research on human memory and eyewitness misidentification, which showed the victim’s identification was unreliable. Harris did not match key details in the victim’s description, could not drive (while the attacker used a car), and had a contagious STD the victim did not contract. No physical evidence linked him to the crime, and he had a strong alibi.
Harris had already served his full sentence and been paroled. He no longer has to register as a sex offender.
How reliable are eyewitness identifications in serious criminal cases, especially older ones?
Never forget Kendrick Johnson. A 17‑year‑old boy, full of life, discovered rolled up in a gym mat like a blunt. In 2013 they ruled it an accident, but the pain, the questions, and the fight for answers never faded.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Distant security footage has been released of Karmelo defending himself from Austin Metcalf attacking him. As you can see in the video, Karmelo was surrounded under the tent with no way to escape. As Austin was standing over Karmelo attacking him, Karmelo neutralized the threat using self defense, and Karmelo had to run UP the stairs to escape further danger because he was boxed in from running DOWN the stairs.
This is CLEARLY self defense

Daniel Penny snuck up behind an innocent Black man who never touched anyone, and choked him to death while claiming self defense. This happened in New York that has some of the strictest self-defense laws and a duty to retreat. Penny was still acquitted & paraded around like a hero. Karmelo defended himself from a physical assault in Texas-a state with the most expansive Stand Your Ground laws, with NO duty to retreat. And he gets a murder conviction.
The only difference in these cases is the enforcement is governed by systemic white supremacy

🚨 Cop FIRED After Punching Woman Repeatedly In The Head During Arrest
On May 29 in Shelby, North Carolina, a doorbell camera captured a Shelby police officer throwing 34-year-old Cherrie Moore to the ground and punching her repeatedly in the head during an arrest.
A second officer can be heard saying “I got her” while trying to stop him. Moore was reportedly asking for mental health help at the time.
Officer Karson Hyder was placed on leave and fired within 24 hours. Chief Brad Fraser called the actions “disturbing.”
Moore suffered a broken nose and facial injuries. She was later released and charges against her were dropped. The video has sparked protests, with her family demanding criminal charges against the officer.
