I think CORE Chris Brown fans have such high expectations for him because we know how great he is. I do think some people are being extremely harsh BUTโ๐ฝ those people arenโt consistently listening to him either to be speaking.
split #Brown into Side A and Side B and the album honestly flows so much better now ๐ญ

Comparing Brown to 11:11 is honestly a waste of time those are two different projects . If anything, the real comparison is Xโฆ and X takes the cake every single time ๐
When he said he was doing an R&B album I had high expectations because he KNOWS how to do R&B songs. I was really hoping for that Fortune and X type of R&B feeling again. Those albums had actual moments on them.
This album was supposed to be the reason I go to the R&B concert โฆ and now Iโm sitting here like yeahhh Imma save my money ๐ญ
Now Iโm sad asf!!!
A lot of the songs stayed in the same lane sonically and lyrically, and I miss the standout hooks. Chris Brown used to make songs that branded themselves into your brain first listen. This album was lowkey hard to stay locked into.
I never thought Iโd hear the day where Iโm waiting for the album to end, I love his long albums . 27 songs only works when thereโs real variety or a storyline.
Iโd give Brown like a 6.5 overall. The sequencing was honestly better than the actual songs to me ๐ญ
For the first time ever I was irritated that a Chris Brown album had 27 songs because outside of the singles that were already out, I probably only saved like 3 more tracks.
