The NYPD is searching for an alleged two-man Hispanic chain-snatching crew accused of causing havoc across Queens and Brooklyn, targeting women as they ride up on a black-and-blue scooter before allegedly ripping necklaces from their victims' necks and speeding away.

A brazen intruder stormed into a Brooklyn home while posing as a Con Edison worker, grabbed a woman by the neck and then pistol-whipped her hero husband who fought off the attacker.

Gregory Jones, 56, allegedly forced his way inside the home on East 57th Street near Linden Boulevard in East Flatbush around 2:40 p.m. Monday, according to the NYPD.

Decked out in clothing that resembled the energy company’s gear, Jones allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck – while a child was home.

Luckily, her husband – whose phone was hooked up to the Ring doorbell – wasn’t far away when he heard the screams and sprinted toward the home, according to cops and the local outlet CrownHeights\.info.

Jones then pistol-whipped the husband – who fought back, disarming and knocking the intruder unconscious, according to the report.

When the burglar regained consciousness, he fled with some valuables, including a cell phone that Crown Heights Shomrim volunteers were able to use to track him.

Jones was arrested a couple hours later and faces a laundry list of charges in connection to the heist.

Jones’ arrest history dates back to August of 1993 when he was taken into custody for a murder in the confines of the NYPD’s 77th Precinct, which covers northern Crown Heights and part of Prospect Heights, law enforcement sources said.

The disposition of that case was not immediately known.
