I was lucky enough to get access to the @playdate developer preview, so of course I had to make a Flipnote player for the thing!

The note shown here is one of @kekeflipnote's old works - you can use the crank to scrub through frame by frame!

@d__raptis @seflless If you use border-image-repeat: stretch, you can get that behaviour! I used it many moons ago to achieve chamfered corners:

Granted, the downside is that you have to "bake" your background colour into the SVG.

@antonosika i've been saying this privately for a while, but figma are absolutely going the way of adobe. it's getting less usable, they're hyperfocusing on jank AI features, they're jacking prices. becoming trademark trolls is absolutely unsurprising.

One of the non-podcast projects I’ve been working on is sound design for this Flipnote app on the @playdate!

Fun Fact: Most of the paper sounds didn’t use normal paper but the slightly heavier and tough paper of a parking ticket I got a while back
