A tiny OCR model that finally understands long, messy documents

One thing that really caught my eye this week: Baidu’s new Unlimited OCR is a long‑document OCR model that’s small enough to run locally, yet smart enough to read 40+ page PDFs in one go.

Instead of restarting on every page like most OCR tools, this model keeps looking at the whole document while using very little extra memory. So you don’t have to slice PDFs into chunks or worry about losing context. It can understand tables, layouts and long contracts or reports more naturally, even when you run it on your own machine.

For anyone exploring AI + productivity, this feels like a quiet but important shift: OCR is finally catching up with how we actually work with documents, long, messy, and very much more than “just one page at a time.”

गुस्साए परिजनों ने कहा— "हमें कंपनी से कोई नई गाड़ी या मुआवजा नहीं चाहिए, बल्कि हमारा दोस्त/भाई वापस लाकर दें। गाड़ी बनाने वाले और महिंद्रा कंपनी के मालिक आनंद महिंद्रा अपने बच्चों को इस गाड़ी में बैठाएं और एक्सीडेंट कराकर देखें कि यह कितनी सेफ है। शोरूम पक्ष:मामले पर गहलोत मोटर्स के मैनेजर रवि शर्मा ने कहा कि युवक की मौत का उन्हें गहरा दुख है। उन्होंने बताया कि एयरबैग खुलने के कुछ तकनीकी कारण होते हैं। गाड़ी चूरू के बीकानेर मोटर्स से खरीदी गई थी और मार्च में उनके यहां एक्सीडेंट के काम के लिए आई थी। शोरूम प्रबंधन कंपनी और बीमा कंपनी से बात कर पीड़ित परिवार को उचित मुआवजा दिलाने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
ताला लटकाने की दी चेतावनी
तरुण अपने घर में अकेला कमाने वाला था, जिससे परिवार पर बड़ा आर्थिक संकट आ गया है। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने साफ शब्दों में चेतावनी दी है कि यदि उनकी मांगें पूरी नहीं हुईं तो शोरूम पर स्थायी ताला लटका दिया जाएगा।
