Weapons for Ukraine – now. The quality of an embassy’s work must be measured by the amount of weapons Ukraine receives, the funding that supports Ukraine, and the political decisions and concrete steps that put pressure on Russia. That is the clear framework.

A Ukrainian ambassador must know how many air defense missiles are available in the country where they serve – and how to ensure that those missiles are not sitting in stockpiles somewhere, but loaded into our launchers here in Ukraine. Missiles for Patriots, NASAMS, IRIS-Ts, SAMP/Ts, and Hawks; weapons for our combat aircraft; everything our drones need – this is your daily work and ours.

Every ambassador must bring weapons to Ukraine. Some of you may be more public, while others may be less so. It depends on the country where you serve and the specific task. Some may work through official channels, while in other places only informal channels are effective. In some cases, support from civil society and the media is indispensable; elsewhere, unnecessary public moves only get in the way. But you must bring in weapons and assist everyone who does.

The KPIs for our embassies and ambassadors must be restructured accordingly. Weapons are needed. Missiles are needed. Funding for Ukraine is needed.

Everyone can see the ballistic missile threat posed by Russia – and this threat is growing. At the same time, Russian enterprises that manufacture ballistic missiles are still not subject to strict global sanctions.

Some key Russian enterprises involved in ballistic missile production are not under sanctions imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions. Of the seventeen key Russian enterprises involved in producing ballistic missiles, most, unfortunately, can exploit sanctions loops in the jurisdictions of various partners. We need greater coordination, daily engagement with partners on sanctions, and greater synchronization of sanctions.

Unfortunately, one of the worst consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine – and of Iran’s tactics as well – is that potential aggressors around the world can see how much harm ballistic missiles can inflict on human life. The global ballistic missile threat will therefore continue to grow, and all anti-ballistic defense capabilities must grow as well.

Our FREYJA can become a shared European system providing integrated protection. FREYJA will be quick to produce and battle-tested. Ukraine is capable of manufacturing both the missile itself and the launcher. The decisive factor is cooperation with those European countries and companies that have the radars, sensors, and everything else required for an effective anti-ballistic system. And we already have agreements in place with all of these companies and all the necessary countries.

These are the ten countries participating in the Anti-Ballistic Coalition: Ukraine, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom – as well as twelve manufacturers that have already joined. The Anti-Ballistic Coalition and the FREYJA project are open to other participants capable of making a genuine contribution to security across Europe.

We continue applying our long-range sanctions against Russian facilities that serve the war effort and finance the aggression.

Last night, in Russia's Saratov, more than 600 kilometers from the front line, two strategic facilities were hit: the Saratov Oil Refinery and the Engels military air base.

In the Kaluga region, the tank farm of the Lyudinovskaya oil depot was hit. In the Bryansk region, our warriors also carried out a precise strike on a site used to store, prepare, and launch attack drones.

Thank you to all the warriors of Ukraine's Defense Forces who are expanding our long-range capabilities and delivering precise results. We are bringing the war back to where it came from.

Grateful to Ukrainian warriors who are bringing the war back to Russia and responding to its attacks against life. Our targets are consistently defined facilities that sustain the war effort.

Middle strikes were carried out overnight, with successful hits in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. A sanctioned Russian container ship, Yanina, sailing under the Russian flag and with a capacity of more than 100,000 tons, was also struck. Thanks to the precision of our Defense Forces, it was sent to the bottom.

Also overnight, Security Service of Ukraine units struck the infrastructure of three Russian oil refineries in Bashkortostan. The targets were nearly 1,600 kilometers away. These refineries process millions of tons of oil each year. Thank you for your precision!

We continue applying our just pressure. Our long-range sanctions plan is being implemented step by step.

This week, 16 of our regions were under attack. During that time alone, the Russians launched around 1,900 drones, nearly 1,600 aerial bombs, and 144 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles. Today, Sumy was struck by aerial bombs. In Brovary, one person was killed in a drone strike, and six people were injured. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region remain under constant attack. Overnight, Russia also struck the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions. This week, more than 1,500 sites have been damaged, including hundreds of ordinary residential buildings.

A significant number of Russian enterprises working to sustain these attacks by producing components for drones, missiles, and guided aerial bombs have still not been sanctioned. That is why the aggressor is investing more and more in its ballistic weapons capability and is trying to ramp up production. Pressure is needed on every segment of Russia's defense-industrial complex, and that is exactly the pressure that will ultimately help reduce the number of attacks against our people. Sanctions must be expanded, and they must work. Thank you to everyone making that happen.

Ceuta ei ollut spontaani. Se oli viesti ja välineellistetyn maahantulon demonstraatio.

Kymmenen päivää. Niin kauan kului Espanjan pääministerin Algerian-vierailusta siihen, että Ceutan raja petti ja lähes 50 000 ihmistä rynni vuorokaudessa 85 000 asukkaan kaupunkiin.

Ajoitus voi olla sattumaa. Mutta jos työhypoteesina pidetään, että Marokko salli padon aueta, kuten se todistetusti teki vuonna 2021, kuva tarkentuu. Kyse ei ollut muuttoliikkeestä eikä suorasta sotilaallisesta operaatiosta. Se oli poliittinen viesti, ja sillä oli eri vaiheita.

Ensimmäinen: hinta matkasta. Sánchez lensi Algeriin energiajohtajien kanssa lämmittämään suhdetta, joka jäätyi 2022, kun Espanja asettui Marokon puolelle Länsi-Saharan kysymyksessä. Nyt Madrid tasapainottti takaisin, ja Rabat näytti, että tasapainoilulla on hintansa, joka maksetaan Espanjan etelärajalla.

Kolmas: kaksinaamaisuus. Ensin Marokon viranomaiset seisoivat tumput suorina sallien ihmisten rynniä. Tunteja myöhemmin Marokon vesitykit työnsivät ihmisiä takaisin kameroiden edessä. Juuri niin väline toimii: hana auki ja kiinni, ja kummastakin liikkeet voi kiistää. Kiistettävyys ei kuitenkaan ollut todiste syyttömyydestä. Se on menetelmän ominaisuus, kiistettävyys.

Ceuta ei ollut harjoitus kaupungin valtaamisesta. Se oli harjoitus sen horjuttamisesta ja muistutus siitä, että rajayhteistyö kolmannen maan kanssa ei ole tekninen sopimus vaan poliittinen suhde, joka voidaan irtisanoa yhdessä yössä. Suomessa tämä tiedetään Venäjän suhteen. Ceutasta on syytä oppia meilläkin. Venäjällä varmasti hihassaan nyt myös rynnäkköversio.

Eurooppa ei voi ulkoistaa ulkorajaansa naapurin hyvälle tahdolle, ei idässä eikä etelässä.

Nyt valtaosa on palannut. Marokko kuitenkin EU-riippuva maa. Viesti voitiin lähettää, mutta hinta sen ylläpitämisestä olisi kasvanut vauhdilla.

Massiivisen rajanylityksen akuutti vaihe näyttää olevan ohi. Huomio on nyt siirtynyt jäljellä olevien henkilöiden poistamiseen, ruumiiden talteenottoon, normaalin elämän palauttamiseen Ceutaan sekä uuden vastaavan aallon estämiseen.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Keskeistä on huomata, että jotkut levittivät aktiivisesti huhuja, että raja on auki, kuten hetken aikaa olikin. Ohjeita rajan ylittämiseksi. Eri kanavalle tulvi sisältöä. Osa tästä oli selkeästi organisoitua. Syytöksiä ihmissalakuljettajien ja Marokon roolista. Ehkäpä Algerian. Asia on syytä tarkasti tutkia. Olemme Parlamentin demokratiakivessä perehtyneet välineellistetyn maahantulon poliittisen käyttöön. Keinoihin sen estämiseen. Koordinoin sielä Euroopan suurimman puolueen työtä. Keskiössä on ollut Euroopan itäinen ja eteläinen raja. Tilanne ja niksit eivät tulleet yllätyksenä.

Entä Venäjän rooli. Se aktivoitui nopeasti: RT ja pro-venäläiset verkostot levittivät satoja artikkeleita, käyttäen kriisiä pelon lietsomiseen ja EU:n hajanaisuuden mustamaalaamiseen. Tätä se tekee aina.
Klassista hybridivaikuttamista, haettiin opportunistisesti hyötyjä.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ samaan aikaa kun Venäjä itse epävakauttaa Sahelin aluetta ja työntää ihmisiä yhdessä ihmissalakuljettaja organisaatioiden kanssa merelle Libyassa.

Asiaan on myös ratkaisu. Kovennettu palautuslaki äänestiin selkein numeroin läpi Parlamentissa. Nyt Euroopan hallituksista koostuvan Neuvoston on syytä asettaa kaikkia sitova laki vitkastelematta läpi.

En itsekään halua, että lapseni käyvät sellaista koulua, jossa yli 20 % oppilaista on maahanmuuttajataustaisia. Haluan lapseni oppivan suomen kieltä ja saavan suomalaisia ystäviä. Eikä tämän sanominen ole rasismia vaan realismia. Koko yhteiskunta hyötyy siitä, että maahanmuuttajat assimiloituvat. Erityisesti tästä hyötyvät tulijat itse.

S2 -opetukseen ei pidä pistää vieraskielisiä automaattisesti. Kokoomuksen mielestä koko S2-opetus pitäisi lakkauttaa ja sen tilalle lisätä nimenomaan tukiopetusta. Tämä on hyvä linja.

On äärimmäisen tärkeää, että tänne muuttavat ihmiset oppivat kieltä ja maan tapoja, saavat ystäviä ja että lapset näkevät vanhempansa töissä ja aktiivisina yhteiskunnan jäseninä. Se on lapsen etu.

Maahanmuuttopolitiikassa on paljon korjattavaa ja kiristettävää. Tähän työhön olen sitoutunut. Suomi ansaitsee parasta 🇫🇮

Russia continues to terrorize Ukrainian cities, leaving death and destruction in its wake.

▪️ In Kyiv, a Russian attack killed nine people, including a 22-year-old police officer. 30 more people were injured, among them children. Extensive damage across the city.

▪️ One person was killed and six more were injured when a Russian jet drone struck a marketplace in Brovary, Kyiv region.

▪️ In Kherson region, one person was killed and 26 more were injured, including a child.

▪️ A 63-year-old resident of Sumy region was killed when a Russian drone struck the car in carrying him and his family.

▪️ In Dnipropetrovsk region, a man and a teenager were injured.

Residential buildings, businesses, shops, and infrastructure were damaged.

▪️ In Zaporizhzhia region, one person was killed and two more were injured.

▪️ In Kharkiv, Russian forces struck a gas station, causing a fire.

Since last night, response efforts have been underway in Kyiv and the surrounding region following Russia’s strike. There were numerous fires across the city. Seven districts were affected, and, as usual, the Russians struck ordinary residential buildings. Eighteen residential buildings, a school, the Lithuanian Embassy, and infrastructure facilities were damaged. As of now, nine people have been reported killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Dozens of people were injured. Medical teams are helping everyone who needs it.

Overnight, the Russians launched 35 missiles at Ukraine, including 27 ballistic missiles, as well as 185 attack drones of various types. Kyiv was the primary target, but strikes also hit the Dnipro, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions. Only one ballistic missile was intercepted, simply because there are no interceptors for the Patriot systems. And it is this shortage of ballistic missile interceptors that only encourages Russia to launch such attacks that take human lives.

It is critical that partners hear that these capabilities are needed not somewhere in stockpiles for hypothetical scenarios, but here and now, to contain and stop the Russian war in Ukraine. Every package of ballistic missile interceptors saves the lives of our people. And every night without them results in more casualties. I thank everyone who is working to strengthen our defenses.

Ukraine's Patrol Police have released footage from the first minutes after a Russian ballistic missile struck Radushne, near Kryvyi Rih, showing officers rescuing residents, including children, from beneath the rubble.

The Russian missile hit the Voronov family's home, completely destroying it.

The parents - 47-year-old Artem and 41-year-old Olena - and their three children - Mark (17), Azarii-Ilai (11), and Emiliia (6) - were killed. Another five minors - Dominika (15), Viorika (14), Zakharii (12), Federika (10), and 1.5-year-old Artem - remain missing...

A day of mourning has been declared in Kryvyi Rih and throughout Dnipropetrovsk region. People are bringing toys, flowers, and children's drawings to the ruins of the family's home.

No words can capture the horror of this tragedy.
