JEEPNEY DRIVER NA SI TATAY ELMER, PUMANAW NA

Pumanaw na ang jeepney driver at miyembro ng PISTON na si Elmer Cordero nitong Miyerkules ng gabi, October 7, 2026.

September 29 nang atakihin sa puso si Cordero habang nakikiisa sa transport strike ng grupo. Siyam na araw din siyang namalagi sa ospital.

Hinikayat naman ng PISTON ang mga manggagawa sa transport sector na magsabit ng asul at itim na ribbon bilang pagpupugay sa alaala ni Cordero.

Nakilala si Tatay Elmer bilang isa sa “PISTON 6” na ikinulong noong June 2020 dahil sa umano’y paglabag sa quarantine protocols nang magprotesta para sa tulong sa mga kapwa tsuper noong pandemya.
